Kris Jenner’s Update on Rob Kardashian as He Eases Back into the Spotlight
Fans are seeing a little more of Rob Kardashian these days after he attended sister Kim's 40th birthday and appeared on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
His mom Kris Jenner is also speaking out about her son, revealing he's doing great these days.
She told Cheryl Burke and AJ McLean on their “Pretty Messed Up” podcast, “He's so good. He is so good. He's really great.”
Kris went on to gush over his parenting skills as dad to Dream, his 3-year-old daughter with Blac Chyna.
“His daughter Dream is great and he's so in love with that kid,” she said. “He's such a great dad and you never know — you have kids, they grow up, they have their kids — and you just don't know how somebody is going to be as a parent but he's just... wow.”
She continued, “He really is amazing.”
Cheryl, who competed with Rob on Season 13 of “Dancing with the Stars,” said she always knew him as a “caretaker,” adding, “I was his teacher, but he always made sure I was OK. He's a very sweet soul that guy.”
Jenner shared that Kardashian and Burke's performance to Frank Sinatra's “Fly Me to the Moon,” still makes her cry.
Rob had dedicated the dance to his late father, Robert Kardashian Sr., and Kris explained, “Every time I hear the Frank Sinatra song, I cry. Every time it comes up on the radio, it takes me back to that moment in the ballroom when you guys were dancing to that song and I'll never forget the joy that I felt. Here's my kid, out there dancing and nailing it in front of what — 20 million people?”
That performance was years ago, but just last month the family was brought to tears over another tribute to Rob Sr.
Kanye West created a hologram of the patriarch for Kim's birthday celebration. Afterward, Kris told Andy Cohen on “Andy Cohen Live,” “It started and we just all started to cry. It was just so intense. I must have watched it 20 times. It was really good. [Kanye] is the king of gifts and he worked on that for a really long time. So it was definitely one of the most incredible things I have ever seen. It was really wild.”
Robert Kardashian Sr. died in 2003 after a battle with esophageal cancer. He was 59.
