“The View” co-host Meghan McCain, 35, is a mom for the first time!
Meghan welcomed a baby girl with husband Ben Domenech, 38, on Monday night.
The pair named their daughter Liberty Sage McCain Domenech.
On Tuesday, she tweeted, “Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the wonderful well wishes and overwhelming kindness. Ben and I are completely and utterly in love with our daughter and feeling indescribably blessed/blissed out. We will be watching her first debate as a family together tonight!”
A month ago, McCain opened up on her pregnancy struggles, writing on Instagram, “Any tips on how to get comfortable sleeping, swollen feet or anything else from all the women who have been down this road would be greatly appreciated!"
After suffering a miscarriage in June 2019, Meghan announced she was pregnant again this past March on Instagram, writing, “My husband Ben and I have been blessed to find out I'm pregnant. Although this isn't how I expected to announce my pregnancy, both we and our families are excited to share the news with you all."
Along with the pregnancy announcement, Meghan revealed she would be co-hosting “The View” from home via satellite at her doctor’s suggestion. Referencing the COVID-19 pandemic, she said, “I consulted with my doctors and they advised me that for the safety of our baby and myself, I should be extra vigilant about limiting the amount of people we come in contact with.”
Meghan and Ben, co-founder and publisher of the conservative site The Federalist, tied the knot nearly three years ago.
