Carson Daly & Wife Siri Welcome Baby #4

The couple just announced the arrival of their daughter Goldie Patricia Daly.

Carson shared the happy news on Instagram, calling it a “Daly Planet Exclusive!” In the photo, Carson and Siri are wearing masks due to the coronavirus outbreak as they hold baby Goldie.

He wrote in the caption, “Carson & Siri Daly (Hi! That's us!) along with proud siblings Jackson James (11) Etta Jones (7) and London Rose (5) are beyond thrilled to announce the arrival of Goldie Patricia Daly! She was born at 4:08pm (ET) coming in at 8.2lbs & 20 inches long. Go Go and mom are doing great.”

The host of “The Voice” continued, “The Daly family wants to send a special shout out to the incredibly brave & selfless medical staff at our hospital in New York and also the many courageous people on the front lines of this dreadful virus.”

He added, “We thank God not only for the safe birth of our daughter, but for their tireless work attending to so many in need. It is a bittersweet event for us as we are extremely grateful, but also mindful of this unparalleled time in our history. We appreciate your well wishes and ask that you join us in praying for the many suffering around the world. God Bless you all.”

UPDATE: On Friday, Carson made a brief appearance on "Today" to tell Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb about his bundle of joy. He revealed her middle name was in honor of his late mother, who passed away in 2017. “It would have been my mom's birthday tomorrow, so that worked out to be quite nice,” Daly said.

Her first name, Goldie, was inspired by Carson's Irish heritage, which was recently confirmed by an Ancestry DNA test.

“We had a shortlist of names that we liked but nothing was sticking its neck out," he said. "And I thought about it and I said, 'You know, this is our fourth kid. She seems like a pot of gold at the end of our family rainbow. I told Siri, 'What do you think about Goldie Patricia?' And that was it. It was just one of those things, we knew.”

Carson also praised his wife, revealing she spent most of her time in the hospital alone due to the coronavirus. He said, “Watching Siri over the last 24 hours — not to mention during this pregnancy, but being 9 months pregnant at this time, you can just imagine the extra anxiety that has brought... Her heroism … she's a superstar, she's a superhero. I wake up enamored by her.”

Siri showed off her baby bump on Instagram back in January. She joked in the caption, "Have I been pregnant for 100 years? Or has this been the fastest 28 weeks ever?"
