Stars Mourn Kobe Bryant & Daughter Gianna on the Grammys Red Carpet
“Extra” was on the Grammys red carpet, where the stars had heavy hearts following the passing of Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna in a fiery helicopter trash in Calabasas, California, Sunday morning.
Billie Eilish opened up, admitting, “I thought it was fake at first. I couldn't process that s--t. It really just makes you think about life, and his daughter… My love to his family. For real, I can't even believe things like that happen — so random, so real.”
Grammy winner Lil Nas X, joined by Billy Ray Cyrus, said, “It's like dark clouds over a sunny day. Rest in peace to Kobe.”
Rick Ross said he heard the news while getting ready and needed to take a minute.
Keith Urban, whose wife Nicole Kidman was home sick, said, “I will be reunited with my wife as soon as I leave… It's a very unusual day today… I felt like I knew him. Certain people on the planet that you just felt like you know having never met them. Kobe was one of them for me.”
