Andy Cohen Celebrates 10 Years of 'WWHL,' Plus: Will He Become a Dad Again?
“Extra” was with Andy Cohen, who dished on the anniversary of the “Watch What Happens Live" franchise, the success of the "Real Housewives" shows, and his son Benjamin.
Happy to be celebrating, he said, “Never thought we would get to 10 years — absolutely not. Thrilled that we did.”
Andy said his favorite guests over the years have included, “Oprah or Cher or Meryl Streep… some of the iconic women. Mariah Carey was great.” Cohen added, “Hopefully, we get 10 more years.”
The star celebrated with John Mayer, Chrissy Teigen, and a performance by Countess LuAnn de Lesseps. Andy called it "a triple threat.”
As for the hugely successful “Housewives” franchise, he said, “I didn't imagine all these years later we'd have seven 'Housewives' shows going.”
He did not confirm or deny that NeNe Leakes wasn't invited back to “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” insisting, “We never really talk about casting for productions that are in production.”
Andy did say he is in touch with “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice, but isn't sure what will happen to her husband Joe, who is facing possible deportation after serving a prison sentence. “I have no idea. I feel for the guy,” he said. Will Teresa leave him? Andy explained, “She said that she will… He did his time, so it's sad if he has to be deported.”
Andy shared that his pick for most chill Housewife is Atlanta's Cynthia Bailey! He called her "calm, cool, and collected" off camera.
Cohen also gave an update on baby Ben, saying, “He is growing rapidly. He is drinking his milk, he is a really chill baby.” Andy added, “He is trying to crawl. He's grasping a lot, a lot of eye contact, focusing on books. He can hold his bottle, almost.”
Breaking some news, he also revealed, “I might consider having another one — I'm thinking about it.”
