Alec Baldwin on Potential ’30 Rock’ Reboot, Plus: The Latest on Hilaria's 4th Pregnancy
Last night, “Extra” caught up with Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria, who served as co-chairs at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts gala, which honored the father-daughter filmmaking duo of Chris Columbus and Eleanor Columbus and producer Eddy Moretti in New York.
With the resurgence of sitcom reboots like “Roseanne,” does Alec think there's a chance his long-running NBC hit “30 Rock” could return to primetime? He shared, “All those reboots work if they get everybody together. They got all the 'Will & Grace' people. I'm sure that Tina (Fey) in particular and all the writers that work with her, if they came up with a good idea, which they certainly can.”
Referring to the new musical "Mean Girls," he pointed out, “But Tina's a successful Broadway producer now and a Broadway writer, so who knows if she's going to want to put herself through a network TV schedule again.”
Alec confirmed he will be returning to “Saturday Night Live” as Donald Trump “maybe a couple of times” before the end of the season in May.
Another big event is going to happen in the spring — Hilaria is due to give birth to their fourth child, a baby boy! While showing off her baby bump on the red carpet, Hilaria revealed, "I'm very pregnant! He's very big — I just found out today he's really big, like 90th-percentile big. So wish me luck!"
Alec emphasized that Hilaria is "the best mommy" to their kids – Carmen Gabriela, Rafael Thomas, and Leonardo Ángel Charles.
“Extra” also spoke with former “American Idol” judge Randy Jackson. Has he seen the rebooted “Idol”? Randy shared, “I haven't seen it yet, but I had dinner with Lionel Richie a few weeks ago and he tells me it's going good.”While we won't see Randy on the reboot, he'll be back on TV soon! He teased, “You may see something in the fall. I'm planning a return on a different kind of show. So stay tuned, it should be fun!”
