'Notting Hill' Star Dead at 53
Emma Chambers, so memorable as Honey in 1999's "Notting Hill," has died, Us Weekly reports.
In a statement, her agent John Grant confirmed the news, saying, “We are very sad to announce the untimely death, from natural causes, of the acclaimed actress Emma Chambers. Over the years, Emma created a wealth of characters and an immense body of work. She brought laughter and joy to many and we be greatly missed.”
Along with "Notting Hill," she was known for a recurring role on the British series "The Vicar of Dibley" (1994-2007).
Chambers is survived by her husband of 27 years, Ian Dunn.
Celebrities have been reacting on social media to her shocking passing, including Hugh Grant, who wrote, "Emma Chambers was a hilarious and very warm person and of course a brilliant actress. Very sad news."
