Jennifer Lopez Is in Tom Brady's Corner, Plus: Who's More Romantic — Herself or A-Rod?
Jennifer Lopez rocked the Super Bowl as she headlined the DIRECTV NOW Super Saturday Night concert, helping to raise money for Hurricane Maria victims in Puerto Rico!
Talking to “Extra's” AJ Calloway right after the late-night performance, Lopez shared who she is rooting for in the big game, expressing her admiration for Tom Brady. “I root for somebody who put in all that work and works really hard and has proven themselves year after year after year," she said. "He's 40 years old. It's hard to stay in this game, any game that competitive like that — I salute that, and hope they win another ring and he can say that, 'At 40, I won a ring.'”
She was excited that cast members of the hit series "This Is Us" were at the show. Asked if she was ready for the special episode airing post-Super Bowl on Sunday evening, she said, "Of course! Oh, my God — I love 'This Is Us.'"
Lopez performed her new song "Us" at the event for the first time live. The song, rumored to be about A-Rod, was produced by Skrillex and written by Poo Bear. The glamorous songstress said, "We wrote it about a year ago now... I remember playing it for Alex [Rodriguez] and everyone in my camp." Smiling, she recalled, “It was a really special time for us."
With Valentine's Day just around the corner, AJ asked J.Lo who is more romantic — herself or Rodriguez. She said, “I'm more romantic, I think," before joking, “I don't have to do anything — I'm the girl.” She went on to say, “He doesn't have to do it all. I am very generous.”
