Stuntwoman Dies Following ‘Deadpool 2’ Accident
UDPATE: Following the accident, "Deadpool 2" star Ryan Reynolds shared a heartfelt tweet, writing, "Today, we tragically lost a member of our crew while filming Deadpool. We're heartbroken, shocked and devasted... but recognize nothing can come close to the grief and inexplicable pain her family and loved ones must feel in this moment. My heart pours out to them -- along with each and every person she touched in this world."
A woman has died following a tragic accident on the set of “Deadpool 2” in Vancouver, Canada, “Extra” can confirm.
Police told us in a statement, “Vancouver Police can confirm that a female stunt driver has died on the set of 'Deadpool' during a stunt on a motorcycle. VPD officers are at the scene, along with officers from WorkSafeBC.”
TMZ reports the woman was performing a motorcycle stunt at Jack Poole Plaza when she appeared to lose control and drive through the window of a building across the street.
The driver's name is being withheld at this time.
The accident comes on the heels of a possible stunt gone wrong on the set of “Mission: Impossible 6.”
On Sunday, cameras caught Tom Cruise, 55, performing an elaborate jump, attached to wires, while on the set in London.
In video obtained by TMZ, Tom appears to come up short on one jump, hitting a building and hoisting himself onto the roof. Once there, he has a visible limp before being pulled through the air back to where he started. Click here for the full story.
