‘Fresh Prince’ Reunion! See the Cast Today
Alfonso Ribeiro spent the afternoon with his “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” castmates, sharing the memorable moment on Instagram.
The TV-family photo included Tatyana Ali (Ashley), Alfonso (Carlton), Karyn Parsons (Hilary), Will, Daphne Maxwell Reid (Vivian), and Joseph Marcell (Geoffrey).
The key member missing from the reunion was James Avery, who played patriarch Phil Banks. He passed away in 2013 after complications from open heart surgery. Also absent was Janet Hubert, the original Vivian, who was replaced by Reid in 1993.
Alfonso included the caption, “Always amazing to spend an afternoon with my Fresh Prince family. Wishing that James Avery was still with us to make this complete.”
The sitcom, which aired from 1990 to 1996, followed the character Will Smith — played by Mr. Smith himself — as he moves into the Bel-Air mansion of his wealthy relatives, the Banks family.
