He’s Back! Ed Sheeran Releases Two New Songs
After taking a year off, Ed Sheeran released two new songs today; “Shape of You” and “Castle on the Hill.” This is the first new music from the Grammy-winning singer since 2015.
The superstar said of his return, "I've been working hard on the new material, and I hope you can be as excited about it as I am. I really wanted to show two different sides to my music that I'm equally as passionate about, and I just knew I wanted to roll with two songs at the same time. I'm absolutely buzzing to be back.”
After hitting iTunes, the two songs quickly shot up the charts, “Castle on the Hill” taking the #1 spot and “Shape of You” sitting comfortably as runner-up.
Sheehan's famous friends began to weigh in with their excitement. Ed's BFF and former tour buddy Taylor Swift posted on her Instagram this morning, "OH MY GOD OKAY IT'S HAPPENING. EVERYBODY STAY CALM.”
