Brad Pitt’s First Public Appearance Since Breakup with Angelina Jolie
UPDATE: Brad Pitt has been cleared of abuse allegations after the DCFS made the decision to close its investigation, TMZ reports.
Last night, actor Brad Pitt made his first public appearance since his split with Angelina Jolie.
Pitt hosted a screening of the buzz-worthy drama “Moonlight,” which was executive produced by his production company Plan B. He was accompanied onstage by Julia Roberts while praising the film, which stars Mahershala Ali, Naomie Harris, and Janelle Monae.
Despite his divorce drama with Jolie, Pitt is reportedly walking the red carpet tonight at the premiere of his film “Allied.” He will be joined at the premiere by co-star Marion Cotillard and director Robert Zemeckis.
A source told Page Six, "He is maintaining multiple commitments for the film. He doesn't usually do much press anyway.”
Just as Brad is about to start his promotion tour for the movie, it has been reported that the California Department of Children and Family Services will wrap up its investigation on him very soon. A source shared with In Touch, "DCFS will be formally closing the investigation after finding absolutely no evidence to support the abuse claims.”
Pitt has also reportedly met up with his kids again, with the exception of his oldest sons Maddox and Pax. The insider said, "Maddox and Pax didn't want to go. But the kids have been in therapy and it does seem to be helping.”
“The goal is to bring the family back together and move forward with a plan of healing. Counseling will definitely be among the recommendations, along with co-parenting classes for Brad and Angie,” the source reiterated.
