Are John Mayer & Demi Lovato Dating?

Singers John Mayer and Demi Lovato are sparking some new romance rumors!

Over the weekend, John and Demi were seen mingling at celeb hot spot Catch, but they left separately. A source told Us Weekly, "John had his arm around Demi and was whispering sweet nothings into her ear. She was into it. They weren't making out or anything, but she was giggling the whole time.”

Another eyewitness added that the two "chatted it up for over an hour” with John raving that Demi “has one of the greatest voices.”

This wasn't the first time that Mayer reportedly complimented Lovato. Back in 2009, he took to Twitter to show his love for one of her songs. He tweeted, "I have 'La La Land' by @ddlovato stuck in my head. Actually, it's not stuck. I'm choosing to sing it. B section is sophisticated.” She responded, "That is quite possibly the best compliment I've received in this business. Thank you so, so much!”

The two ended up chatting on Twitter with Mayer gushing, "You're going to make lots of records, I can tell. Write one song at a time and never, ever apologize for any of them, ever.”

Later that year, Demi and John collaborated on her song, "World of Chances,” which was part of her second album “Here We Go Again.” At the time, she told MTV News, "John Mayer's been a huge influence on me. His songwriting really inspires me. I guess he had heard I was a huge fan, and he sent me a letter. Then we ended up writing together. And it was really great 'cause he actually reached out to me, and it was like a dream come true.”

Mayer has previously dated Katy Perry, Jennifer Aniston, Taylor Swift, and Jessica Simpson, while Lovato has been linked to Wilmer Valderrama, Joe Jonas, and UFC fighter Luke Rockhold.

On Sunday, John, Katy, and Taylor all hit up Delilah in West Hollywood for Drake's 30th birthday.
