Hollywood Turns Out to Support Nanci Ryder at ALS Walk
Over the weekend, Reese Witherspoon, Courteney Cox and Renée Zellweger got together for a very important cause… the Walk to Defeat ALS in Los Angeles.
Witherspoon shared on Snapchat, “Walking today to support #ALS research, with our friend Nanci Ryder who has done so much for all of us. We ❤️you Nanci!” Watch a video below!
At the event, Courteney and Renée also showed their support for Nanci, who was their publicist before being diagnosed with the disease in 2014. Renée told People, "[Ryder] is my friend.. I love her… and I just.. I just show up. When she asks for me, when she needs me, I just keep doing what we always do. We just continue on our journey as friends. It's hard to watch her struggling, and watch her having to come to terms with the new stages as her disease progresses, but easy like today, when everybody shows up to show their love and support for her makes her feel less alone in what she's experiencing, so I'm really grateful for this day, and this team of people.”
Cox offered the same sentiment, adding, "I'm just here because I love Nanci Ryder, and I would do anything for her, and I would do anything to help find a cure for this disease, and if we can get more awareness, more money, or just more support. They're chipping away at it, they're doing great work, but we have to just keep going.”
