Actor Who Murdered Neighbors to Make Cash for Wedding Sentenced to Death
Former actor Daniel Wozniak, who murdered neighbors Sam Herr and Julie Kibuishi in 2010 as part of a scheme to raise money for his impending wedding to actress Rachel Buffett, has been sentenced to death for his crimes.
Wozniak committed the murders in order to deplete Herr's bank account of his life's savings, $62,000.

On May 20, 2010, Wozniak shot Herr twice in the head in an attic on a training base in Los Alamitos, California, before luring Kibuishi into Herr's bedroom. Once there, he shot her twice in the head and made the scene look as if Herr had sexually assaulted her. Wozniak was arrested at his own bachelor party after persuading a teen to withdraw money from Herr's bank account.
