Will Johnny Depp Testify in Front of Amber Heard over Restraining Order?
Rumor has it Johnny Depp will not be present to testify during a hearing being held Friday to determine whether his estranged wife, Amber Heard, will be granted a restraining order against him.
TMZ reports that Amber's team thinks they will be granted the restraining order since they believe Johnny also won't submit a written declaration. Depp's team may be trying to avoid him saying something incriminating during the cross-examination.
Before the hearing, Johnny's lawyer Laura Wasser requested that Amber give an official deposition, E! News reports. Her lawyer Samantha Spector says Amber isn't available since she is currently in New Jersey for a friend's engagement party and will fly to London for costume fittings for her new movie “Justice League."
While his divorce drama is unfolding, Depp is seeking refuge on his private island in the Bahamas, according to Us Weekly. Depp just wrapped up his European tour with his band the Hollywood Vampires.
His private island is also the site where Johnny and Amber exchanged wedding vows last year.
