Prince’s Ex-Wife Debuts Tattoo In His Honor: ‘This Makes Me Smile and Cry’

Mayte Garcia, who was married to Prince from 1996 to 2000, has debuted a new tattoo in his honor.
Garcia revealed the decorative ink in L.A. at a PETA event honoring Prince's birthday and the re-release of “Animal Kingdom,” the song he wrote for the organization's 20th anniversary.
The center of the tat features Prince's iconic male/female symbol.
She also posted the body art on Instagram with the message, “This makes me smile and cry… Love is eternal!! Will remember that every time I look at my hand. To all of you who are hurting… I'm sorry for your pain as well!! But love him for eternity! Thank you @nspired1 for making such a beautiful piece and @luvinflyingcolors for making such a beautiful video! I'm smiling with tears! And thank you TAC cream for making it painless.”
