'Glee' Star Mark Salling Indicted on Child Porn Charges
“Glee” star Mark Salling was indicted by a federal grand jury for receiving and possessing pornography on his laptop computer and a flash drive, according to the Department of Justice.
Salling, who played Noah Puckerman on the hit show, was indicted on charges involving specific images and videos of young girls found on his devices.
The DOJ says thousands more images and videos were found on his laptop, hard drive and USB drives, and those are currently under review.
Now, the actor could face years in prison. The charge of receiving child pornography carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in federal prison and a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years. The charge of possessing child pornography also carries a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison.
Salling will surrender to federal authorities on June 3 to face the charges, and will likely be arraigned the same day.
The star was arrested in December at his Shadow Hills, CA home, but later released on bail.
