Family Drama! Prince’s Sister Tyka Reportedly Walks Out on Family Meeting Over His Estate
While police are investigating Prince's death, his family is fighting over his reported $300 million estate.
TMZ reports that his younger sister Tyka Nelson stormed out of the room after an argument in the first meeting between her half siblings, Omarr Baker and Alfred Jackson, aka Alfred Frank Alonso.
Sources reveal that in the two-hour meeting, Alfred expressed how upset he was about not being invited to Prince's memorial service, which was planned by Tyka. To allow him to “properly grieve,” Alfred was given a tour of Prince's house and shown the area where his body was found by a bank representative.
Since Prince did not leave a will, Tyka asked for a judge in Minnesota named Bremer Trust to handle the estate. Under Minnesota law, Prince's siblings are all entitled to an equal amount of his assets, but Alfred and Omarr apparently accused Tyka of seeking a greater share.
According to court docs, the Bremer Trust now has the power to manage Prince's assets and determine who the heirs to his fortune are.
