Hannah Davis on Derek Jeter's Wedding Proposal: 'I Didn't See That One Coming'
On Tuesday, the newly engaged Hannah Davis sat down with "Extra's" Charissa Thompson at Universal Studios Hollywood, where she dished on the surprise proposal she received from retired New York Yankees star Derek Jeter.
Davis shared, "I didn't see that one coming."
The two have not planned their wedding and are just basking in the moment. Asked when the date might be, she said, "Gosh, I don't even know, I don't know anything yet. I think we are just trying to enjoy this stage." When they are ready to plan, don't expect to hear much about it in the press. Hannah explained, “We're so private with everything that we'll be super secretive about when, where, all that stuff."
Davis has already figured out how to throw people off their trail. "I will post a picture like, 'I am in Hawaii.'"
Aside from her future wedding, the 2015 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover model is busy hosting Lifetime's "Project Runway Junior," saying, "It's essentially the same show as 'Project Runway,' but it's the junior version. Our designers are from 13 to 17 years old, they're the most adorable kids you will ever see in life… This season we had an absolute blast."
The 25-year-old admits hosting is not something that comes naturally to her. "I never thought I'd host anything in my life, 'cause I'm a little bit terrified of the cameras."
Hannah did get some advice from Heidi Klum, who hosts the original "Project Runway.” She said Heidi's advice was that “it will start to feel natural, it's nerve-racking in the beginning 'cause it's something you've never done, but it will all fall into place. By the end, I was like, 'Oh, I'm getting the hang of this thing.'"
"At first, I was like, 'Kids, I'm really nervous!'" she added.
"Project Runway Junior" premieres on November 12 on Lifetime at 9/8c.
