Hugh Grant Reveals His Crazy Connection to Guy Ritchie!
Hugh Grant sat down with "Extra's" Terri Seymour to chat about his personal connection to "Man From U.N.C.L.E." director Guy Ritchie!
The two worked together on the new movie, but their connection goes way back. Hugh revealed, “His dad was a great friend of my father's in the army. His father, who was quite a character, once tried to get through the porthole of a ship naked, and it was my father who had to pull him out.”
Guy found a way to include the connection in the movie by featuring a recreated photo of their two fathers.
In the film, Hugh stars as the head of a spy organization and is in charge of agents... played by Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer. He joked about what it felt like to act with such handsome stars. “I just felt rather small… I felt small and old and fat, otherwise, great.”
“Man From U.N.C.L.E." isn't the only film Hugh is starring in — he can also be seen in "Florence Foster Jenkins," which had him working opposite Meryl Streep. “She couldn't have been nicer but she's ridiculously good. I really had to be on my game every day for ten weeks.”
One movie that we won't see Hugh in is the next installment of “Bridget Jones' Diary.” Hugh said, “They're making it anyway, but this came up a couple of years ago and they had a script that was promising, but i didn't feel it quite made it, so by the time they wanted to shoot, I said look, it's just best if you make it without me.”
"Man From U.N.C.L.E." hits theaters tomorrow.
