Blake Shelton Breaks Social Media Silence
Singer Blake Shelton broke his silence on Twitter on Tuesday with a tweet.
The message had nothing to do with his surprise divorce from Miranda Lambert, instead he shared his workout woes, writing, "Just got off the treadmill. This calls for a drink. B**ch..."
When a fan commented that they couldn't imagine him on a treadmill, he replied, “It looked like one of those messin' with Sasquatch commercials... “
Blake and Miranda announced their divorce on Monday with the statement, "This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends, and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”
UPDATE: Sources tell Us Weekly that the split was a long time coming. While their busy work schedules were supposedly a factor in the divorce, insiders say the fact that he wanted children and she didn't took its toll. She had also confessed to being a bit jealous, going so far as to read his texts and check his direct messages on Twitter. “Both of them have been unhappy for a while,” the source said.
