Patrick Dempsey Remembers ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’ Co-Star Amanda Peterson
Actor Patrick Dempsey paid tribute to his “Can't Buy Me Love” co-star Amanda Peterson in a tweet on Tuesday.
Dempsey wrote, "In my memory, she will always be vibrant and young. Gone too soon. Sending my thoughts and prayers to Amanda's family."
The hit 1980s comedy featured Dempsey as “geek to chic” high-schooler Ronald Miller who paid Peterson's character Cindy Mancini to be his girlfriend so their classmates would think he was cool.
Peterson left Hollywood in 1994 for a quieter life in Greeley, Colo. The 43-year-old was found dead at her home on Sunday. While the cause of death is still unknown, her parents believe sleep apnea may have been a contributing factor.
