Former Pro Baseball Player Killed in Apparent Murder-Suicide
Darryl Hamilton, a former Major League outfielder, was found dead Sunday in an apparent murder-suicide.
People reports that the athlete, who played for teams like the Giants and the Mets, and later went on to become an MLB analyst, was shot to death inside his Pearland, Texas home.
Monica Jordan, mother of his 14-month-old child, was also found dead from what appeared to be a single, self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Lieutenant Onesimo Lopez told Reuters, "At this point it does not appear that there was any kind of struggle. The incident occurred just inside the front door.”
The child was found unharmed inside the home and is now with Texas Child Protective Services.
