Tyrese Gibson Addresses 'Green Lantern' Casting Rumors
“Extra's” Tracey Edmonds sat down with “Furious 7” star Tyrese Gibson at Universal Studios Hollywood and got the scoop on rumors he's going to play the Green Lantern.
“Honestly, the fans started this whole thing. I was at home chilling, minding my own business, and I go on my timeline and these fans had created fan art of me as Green Lantern. I took a screengrab of it and put it up on my timeline and then it started spiraling out of control, and I said, you know what? I am Green Lantern!”
He went on to explain, “I'm not officially in the role, though I feel that there is no better Green Lantern. I think I can handle it. I've got a few box office receipts under my name. I think I can strap on the green suit. I think I can wear that ring and take that oath and take care of business.”
Gibson then said with a smile, “You see this chocolate here? Imagine me in green.”
