Kurt Russell on One of the Greatest Baseball Stories Never Told
Actor Kurt Russell stopped by our studios at the H&M store in Times Square, where he talked with “Extra’s” AJ Calloway about the Netflix documentary “The Battered Bastards of Baseball.”
Russell explained, “In 1973 my dad had this opportunity to go in and take over a baseball territory in Portland, Oregon. He had this incredible team that he put together, guys that had been passed over by Major League Baseball.”
Kurt added, “There were no press handlers. There was no groomed image. There was just these furry, hairy, funny... a great bunch of guys. The things that happened on the field were absolutely insane.”
