Celebrity Feud? Why J.Lo Turned Down J.Law's Dance Request
Are J.Lo and J.Law feuding? Not quite…
Jennifer Lawrence was left red in the face when she asked Jennifer Lopez to take a spin with her on the dance floor at the Met Gala last month, and the superstar said no.
What made it worse is that Jimmy Fallon and J.Law had planned to approach the “American Idol” judge together, but Fallon bailed at the last minute. Lawrence was miffed.
When the Oscar winner recalled the embarrassing ordeal on the “Tonight Show” a few weeks ago (watch the video), Fallon said he backed out at the last minute because Lopez's manager shot him a disapproving look.
On Monday, Lopez recounted her side of the story while visiting Jimmy's late-night show. She revealed, "I heard about it after you guys talked about it.”
The 44-year-old continued, "I remember seeing you guys come over, and I remember Jennifer asking, "Let's go out to the dance floor and dance!' That's how I remember it. 'Let's go dance out there where everybody's dancing!' And I'm like, 'Nah, I'm good right here.' I kind of felt like she was sad. I didn't mean it like that! I just meant it's crazy out there."
Fallon joked that Lawrence "didn't talk" to him "for months."
Lopez wasn't surprised. "I wouldn't talk to you either. You bailed on the bit!"
Then, Fallon did the only thing that made sense… he asked the singer to dance! Watch the video.
