Caleb Johnson vs. Jena Irene! 'American Idol' Crowns a Winner
“American Idol” has a new winner!
Rocker Caleb Johnson took the top prize at the Season 13 finale over pop singer Jena Irene on Wednesday.
“This is crazy!” Johnson told host Ryan Seacrest after learning the results.
For the finale sing-off on Tuesday, Johnson performed “Dream On,” “Maybe I’m Amazed” and “As Long as You Love Me,” while Irene sang “Dog Days Are Over,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love” and “We Are One.”
The two-hour finale included special guests John Legend, Kiss, Demi Lovato and Lady Antebellum. Fans got a special treat when judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. teamed up with judge-turned-mentor Randy Jackson for a song.
"Extra's" Terri Seymour was backstage and on the red carpet at the "Idol" finale catching up with Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, and winner Caleb Johnson.
