Magic Johnson Says Donald Sterling ‘Is Living in the Stone Ages’
CNN host Anderson Cooper spoke exclusively with Magic Johnson on Tuesday, a few days after Cooper's sit-down with disgraced L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling.
The basketball legend responded to some of Sterling's insults.
Johnson stated, “He doesn't know what he's talking about. It's sad, disturbing. He didn't do his homework… He's living in the Stone Ages. He can't make these comments about African-Americans and Latinos. He just can't do it. I'm always going to fight for myself and my people, so when he attacked me personally, I have to speak out about it.”
Magic added, “I'm going to pray for the man because even if I see him today, I'm going to say hello to Donald and his wife as well. I'm not a guy who holds grudges and all that. Yes, am I upset? Of course! But at the same time, I'm a God-fearing man and I'm going to pray for him and hope things work out for him.”
