Maria Menounos: 'I Grew a Size Every Year' Before Dropping 40 Pounds
“Extra” host Maria Menounos is sharing all of her tips and tricks for losing weight… in the new issue of Ladies' Home Journal!
Maria, who graces the cover of the April issue, reveals that she began putting on weight as a teenager.
“I grew a size every year,” she said. “I didn't gain the Freshman 15, I gained the Freshman 40.”
Fed up with how tired and sluggish she felt, she decided to create a weight-loss plan and stick to it. Check out her advice at LHJ.com.
Once she lost the weight, she moved to California and started her career in television. While working as a reporter, she turned to fast food for convenience.
Although she didn't gain weight, she suffered from exhaustion and dehydration because of her poor eating habits.
“Just because you're thinner doesn't mean you are healthier,” she told the mag.
