Blood and Mean Girls at the ‘Vampire Academy’
Ever wonder what a school for vampires would look like? In the new action comedy “Vampire Academy,” it’s all about how to fit in with the cool vamps.
Based on the popular YA book series by Richelle Mead, the film follows Rose Hathaway (Zoey Deutch), a Dhampir -- or half human/half vampire teen -- whose job it is to guard the Moroi -- a peaceful, mortal sect of vampires -- against the evil and immortal Strigoi.
Rose’s main priority is protecting her BFF Lissa (Lucy Fry), a member of the royal Moroi family, all while dealing with the usual high-school shenanigans.
ExtraTV.com sat down with the “Vampire Academy” cast members Deutch and Fry, along with Dominic Sherwood and Sarah Hyland (who also play Moroi academy attendees), to try and get the whole mythology down.
A semester of “Vampire Academy” starts in theatres this Friday.
