Paul Walker and friend Roger Rodas died in a horrific car crash on Saturday, and now his father is grappling with the loss.
Paul Walker Sr. choked back tears as he spoke to "Extra" about losing his son. "I was proud of him every day of his life," he told us.
The elder Walker said that Tyrese Gibson, Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and others had been by to pay their condolences.
"People are just nice," he said. "People would show up here and say, 'Paul, I don’t know what to say.' And I would say, 'You don’t have to say anything, you are here.' You can feel their spirtit come off of them. Hugs go a long way when you are hurting.
He also spoke about his granddaughter, Meadow, “She’s really broken up, [she took it] really hard. Paul was so close to her. He wanted to take a little hiatus so he could spend [more time with her]. He said dad, ‘She’s 15, she’s going to be gone soon.’”"
Since news of the accident broke, fans, friends and family have been mourning the “Fast and Furious” star.
Stars took to social media to pay tribute to Walker over the weekend. Tyrese posted some especially touching messages on Instagram and visited the crash site near Santa Clarita.
