Paul Walker's Daughter Meadow, 15, 'Still in Shock' after Crash
The nation is mourning the loss of “Fast and Furious” star Paul Walker, but the news is especially devastating for his 15-year-old daughter, Meadow.
Walker was killed in a fiery crash as he was leaving a charity event for his organization, Reach Out Worldwide. His friend Roger Rodas, a grand prix driver, was behind the wheel when the Porsche he was driving hit a pole or tree and burst into flames.
The actor's father, Paul Walker, Sr., told "Extra," “She's really broken up, [she took it] really hard. Paul was so close to her. He wanted to take a little hiatus so he could spend [more time with her]. He said dad, 'She's 15, she's going to be gone soon.'”
A source told E! News that the teen is “still in shock,” and leaning on her mom and other relatives.
"Friends have flown in to be with her. She is in okay spirits and dealing with it the best she can for a 15-year-old. She is surrounded by family and friends and they are trying to comfort her and help her get through this."
The insider continued, “Everyone is taking it hard, but there has been a large outpouring of love and support for the family.”
Walker was just 25 when he learned then-girlfriend Rebecca McBrain was pregnant with Meadow. He admitted to WENN that he wasn't ready to settle down and be a dad. “I knew where I was at with chicks and having fun. I mean, I was sleeping with her friends, for crying out loud,” he confessed. “You know what I mean? I was an animal.”
Meadow grew up in Hawaii with her mother, but moved in with Paul in 2011.
“My heart was desperate for so many years with the situation with my daughter,” he told EW. “My daughter lives with me full-time now and she's the best partner I've ever had. It's so nuts. I've never had anything like this in my life.”
