The Beverly Hills Hotel Turns 100!
The Beverly Hills Hotel just turned 100 years old, and Hollywood wasn’t about to let the big day slip by without a party. Stars like Warren Beatty, Bill Cosby, Mary J. Blige and Jeffrey Katzenberg came out to toast the landmark over the course of two nights, June 15 and 16.
Actor Robert Wagner told “Extra’s” Mario Lopez, “The Beverly Hills Hotel is a place where legends were made… but for me it’s a place where my kids ran around and had a wonderful time.”
His daughter wholeheartedly agreed, “Oh yes we did…the Bar Mitzvahs and Sweet Sixteens. We tore this place up.”
Among the revelers was Robert S. Anderson, whose great-grandmother Margaret founded the hotel. He recently published a book about the site, “The Beverly Hills Hotel -- The First 100 Years.”
