Singer Selena Gomez will try her hand as an award show emcee.
The "Wizards of Waverly Place" star is set to host of the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards in Belfast, Ireland, on November 6.
"I'm so excited to be the host of the 2011 MTV EMA -- it's a dream come true!" Gomez said a statement. "This is such a huge event that always recognizes the biggest stars in music from across the globe, so it's a real honor to be MC at this year's show." Lady Gaga leads the EMA pack with six nominations, followed by Katy Perry and Bruno Mars with four and Adele and Justin Bieber, Gomez's real-life BF, with three. Other nominees include LMFAO, Beyoncé, Coldplay, Eminem, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa, Kings of Leon, Linkin Park, Jennifer Lopez, Foo Fighters and Snoop Dogg.
