Kristin Cavallari and Mark Ballas Deny Romance Rumors
"Extra's" Terri Seymour talked with the "Dancing with the Stars" contestants after the results show Tuesday, including the first castoff, Metta World Peace (aka Ron Artest).
"Man, you all missed out," said Mr. Peace. "I had a lot of things planned!"
As for those inevitable hookup rumors, Kristin Cavallari and partner Mark Ballas, who recently split from Pia Toscano, pooh-poohed any hanky-panky. Kristin said, "We're learning to dance. It's a lot of work. So romance is the last thing on our minds," to which Ballas added, "Yeah, let it go! Drop it!"
Chaz Bono was feeling the love from his mom, Cher, who tweeted, "Yay, Chaz!" He told Terri, "It means a lot to me. I would love to take home that mirror ball trophy. It would be like the little engine that could."
But contestant Carson Kressley admitted he might have a crush on pro dancer Maks Chmerkovskiy. Kressley laughed, "Oh, this is Maks' area? Oh my God. I just want to ... [sniffs] Maks is my favorite," adding, "You know, stalking is the sincerest form of flattery."
Now that the first week of dancing is done, the remaining teams have come up with names for themselves. Hope Solo, who is Maks' partner, said, "Our fans picked Maks Solo."
Tony Dovolani said he calls his partner Chynna Phillips "Chi... because I just love it. It's so easy. Chi." Phillips joined in, "And together we're Chi Tea."
"Nancy Grace," quipped the CNN host about her team name with partner Tristan MacManus.
Kressley had food on his mind for his team name with partner Anna Trebunskaya. "Carson Anna. It sounds like an alternative fruit sweetener. Do you want some Carson-Anna on that?"
"Dancing with the Stars" continues Monday at 9:00 PM on ABC!
