Alex Baldwin Addresses Rumors of Retiring from Acting
After rumors surfaced about Alec Baldwin quitting acting, "Extra" correspondent Jill Rappaport found out the truth.
Baldwin, 51, has starred in everything from big-screen dramas to Broadway, but he tells "Extra" working with Tina Fey on "30 Rock" has been his favorite gig. "The TV show is best job I have ever had. It's so much fun," he says at the premiere of "It's Complicated" in New York City.
The award-winning actor has been in the business for over two decades and says he will stick with "30 Rock" for a "couple more years," but Baldwin admits he's ready to try something new.
"In a couple of years, maybe, I'm thinking I want to try something different for awhile," he reveals.

When asked if he's leaning in the directing of politics, Baldwin jokingly answered, "I don't know" and winked at the camera. "It maybe rhymes with 'wallatics,' I don't know," he teased.
He also confessed a desire to return to the classroom. "I have an undergraduate degree. I want to get a graduate degree. I'm thinking about a lot of different things because what I'm doing now, it's very time consuming."
