Ethan Zohn: 'Fan Support Has Been Awesome'
"Survivor" Ethan Zohn has a message for his fans who have showered him with support since he went public with his cancer diagnosis in May -- thank you.
"The fan support has been awesome," Zohn says in a video posted by People magazine. In the video, he and girlfriend Jenna Morasca (winner of "Survivor: The Amazon") show off packages and goodies sent to Ethan by well-wishers.
Despite undergoing chemotherapy two times a week, Zohn -- who suffers from Hodgkin's Lymphoma -- is still upbeat. "The only way to get through this is to remain positive. I've come to the conclusion that things happen for a reason, and maybe I was put on this earth to help others and educate others."
Zohn is heading in to his last six weeks of chemotherapy with the same positive attitude. "I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm gonna use this to change the world, man."
Ethan wants to his disease to help others -- and that wish is slowly coming true. The "Survivor" champ has been asked to serve as an ambassador for Stand Up To Cancer, the charity founded by CBS News anchor Katie Couric, and has been asked to speak at events for Lance Armstrong's Livestrong foundation.
