Redmond O'Neal Charged in Weekend Drug Bust
Troubled celebuspawn Redmond O'Neal has been charged with one felony count of drug possession.
According to the Los Angeles District Attorney's office, Redmond was arrested for possession of heroin while visiting an incarcerated friend at Pitchess Detention Center. O'Neal was arrested at the L.A. County detention facility's parking lot this weekend. The recommended bail for Redmond is $50,000.
This is not O'Neal's first drug bust -- Redmond and his father, Ryan O'Neal, were arrested in September for possession of methamphetamine and heroin, a case that is ongoing. Redmond has been in and out of rehab multiple times.
Redmond's latest arrest comes as reports of his ailing mother, Farrah Fawcett, make headlines. Fawcett was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2006, and it was recently announced that the cancer had spread to her liver.
