Plant and Krauss Take Top Grammy Honors
Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant made beautiful music with bluegrass gal Alison Krauss -- and the Grammys took notice!
The unlikely duo took home five awards for their collaboration "Raising Sand" -- including Album of the Year and Record of the Year for "Please Read the Letter." When Robert and Alison's names were announced for Album of the Year, the former bad boy rocker said, "In the old days, we would have called this selling out, but it's a good way to spend a Sunday."
Rapper Lil Wayne had with eight noms -- and left the Grammys with an impressive four awards, including Best Rap Album for "Tha Carter III."
British band Coldplay took home a trio of gramophones for their hit album "Viva La Vida," including Song of the Year.
