All the President-Elect's Men
President-elect Barack Obama visited the White House today to have lunch with President George W. Bush, and former Commanders-in-Chief Jimmy Carter, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton.
The presidential luncheon marked the first time since 1981 that all the living ex-presidents gathered in the Oval Office. Obama released a statement to AP about the lunch, saying, "I just want to thank the President for hosting us. This is an extraordinary gathering. All the gentlemen here understand the pressures and possibilities of this office, and for me to have the opportunity to get advice, good counsel and fellowship with these individuals is extraordinary, and I'm very grateful to all of them, but again, thank you, Mr. President, for hosting us."
Barack's inauguration will be held Tuesday, January 20.
