Bette Midler Bares All
Bette Midler is back on top with her new stage show in Sin City tonight, and she's giving "Extra" her most personal interview ever.
True to form, her new review is called "The Showgirl Must Go On," and Bette said she's ready to kick up her heels.
"It's the sexiest show I've every done and I'm really proud of that," she told "Extra."
Speaking of sexy, the divine Miss M has become another one of entertainment's ageless beauties, willingly admitting to having "fabulous legs."
Has she considered plastic surgery?
"Doesn't everybody consider it?" she admitted. "When it really starts to cave in, I probably will start to give it a real good think."
She added, "I am really good about my regime. I am really disciplined. I don't keep strange hours and I don't drink a lot and I don't smoke."
The diva also has some sobering advice for Britney Spears.
"I would try to make her comfortable being herself and being alone without a lot of attention," she said. "I would try to get her to calm down and know there's a world besides this show business world," adding, "There's so much more than she's letting herself experience."
But who's to blame?
"It's partially due to young Hollywood's upbringing," she said. "A lot of these kids [young celebrities] come from parents who are ill to begin with and its no big deal for them to go down that path."
But while Bette admits to having her share of fun in her youth, she was able to avoid the fallen path.
"The booze and drugs. That's a lot of fun [but] the next day you feel like a dog," she confessed. "I used to feel so lousy that I couldn't work...so I never wanted to be so sick that I couldn't work...I escaped because I didn't have an addictive personality."
