The singer dazzled in a white, hand-embroidered gown by Azzedine Alaïa.
The custom gown was paired with glittery red gloves, which unfortunately covered up her heart-shaped engagement ring from fiancé Taylor Kinney!
Gaga told “Extra’s” Mario Lopez about the look, explaining, “[Azzedine Alaïa has] never ever before designed a dress for the red carpet for the Oscars and it took 1,600 hours. Yes, it’s all hand embroidered, 25 people.”
She added that covering up her ring wasn't strategic. “Mr. Alaïa designed the gloves before we got engaged and I wanted to keep the look exactly as he envisioned it.”
Gaga opened up about the proposal, revealing that Taylor did get down on one knee when he popped the question. As far as wedding planning is concerned, they haven't started yet.
“You know we haven’t even begun to talk about the wedding, I've been so focused on the Oscars and this performance, I really put my heart into this tribute performance.”
