'Moesha' Star Yvette Wilson Dead at 48
Actress Yvette Wilson, best known for her turn in the TV series "Moesha," died Thursday after battling cervical cancer, reports TMZ. She was 48.
The funnylady went to California's San Jose State University and became a regular on Russell Simmons' “Def Comedy Jam.”
Wilson then got her big break when she was cast as friend Andell Wilkerson in “Moesha,” which also starred Brandy Norwood and Shar Jackson. It ran for five seasons. Wilson portrayed the same role in the spinoff, "The Parkers."
Shar Jackson tweeted her reaction to her friend's death. "F**k Cancer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh God. My heart is soooo unbelievably broken. I wanna thank all my tweeties for their prayers but God has chosen to take my sister Yvette home."
