New CNN talk show host Piers Morgan announced his first guest will be Oprah Winfrey -- and he told "Extra's" Terri Seymour he first had to get to Oprah's BFF, Gayle King, to secure the interview.

"I had to seduce Gayle King by email," Morgan confessed. "I knew if I won over Gayle, I would get Oprah." And just how did he woo King? "I'm not revealing my secrets, otherwise you would be doing the same thing! But put it this way, I give good email," Morgan laughed.

The former "America's Got Talent" judge, stepping into Larry King's former timeslot, promised his show will be packed with entertaining and provocative guests, which may also include the first interview with princess-to-be Kate Middleton. "I would like my rivals to think I have the interview, so they don't keep trying, but I haven't got it yet. I'm trying hard."

As for those guests you'll never see on Morgan's show, singer Madonna makes the list. Why? The outspoken Brit explained, "She's too annoying. Everything about her is annoying. From the oversized muscles to eating that vegan nonsense she eats and that the kids can't watch TV. Get over yourself. Too irritating."

"Piers Morgan Tonight" premieres Monday, January 17 at 9:00 PM on CNN.
