Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson File for Divorce
After announcing their split just last week, Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson have officially filed for divorce.
According to People magazine, Reynolds, 34, filed divorce documents at the Los Angeles Superior Court Thursday -- Johansson, 26, filed simultaneously. The docs show that both parties cite December 14 as their date of separation.
They released a joint statement last week confirming the split. "After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we've decided to end our marriage. We entered our relationship with love and it's with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn't expected, it's certainly appreciated."
After dating for a year, Scarlett and Ryan wed in September 2008 at a remote wilderness retreat near Vancouver.
