Sarah Jessica Parker Clears the Air on Kim Cattrall Rumors: ‘This Isn’t a Catfight’
"Extra's" AJ Calloway caught up with Sarah Jessica Parker to talk about her new film "Here and Now" and whether there is hope yet for a third "Sex and the City" movie.
Parker set the record straight on rumors she sent Kim Cattrall gifts to try and smooth things over so they could make another sequel, saying, "If one more person calls this a catfight... I'm not in a fight. I never fought with Kim. I don't have to send any gifts to Kim, because I've never done anything. She has felt perfectly comfortable to say lots of things — that's the beauty of living in a democracy — but I have no apologies, meaning, this isn't a catfight. This is someone who chose to talk about something and myself, I remain grateful for her work and the role she played on and off camera for all the years we spent together."
Sarah said there has been no discussion about moving forward without Kim as Samantha, "I have not had any, no." She added, "We went as far as we could last time and the studio said, 'No, we can't meet those demands.' We were all signed up except for her. What are you going to do, right?"
Parker was back on the streets of New York filming "Here and Now," playing a jazz singer dealing with a devastating health diagnosis while trying to keep her career on track. "It was hard, but wonderfully hard, the kind of challenging experience you want to have as an actor," she said.
