Brad Pitt’s ‘Fury’ Takes Over the Box Office
The WWII tank drama “Fury,” starring Brad Pitt, crushed the competition at the weekend box office, earning $23.5 million.
Directed by David Ayer, the war movie has an ensemble cast including Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Peña and Scott Eastwood.
“Gone Girl,” which had held the top spot for the last two week, came in at second with $17.8 million.
Rounding out the top three, “The Book of Life,” the bold 3-D animated film, came in third with $17 million, The movie features the voices of Diego Luna, Channing Tatum and Zoe Saldana and was produced by Guillermo Del Toro.
