Teresa Giudice Reveals How She Keeps Her Marriage Spicy While Joe Is in Prison

Teresa Giudice is back on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” following her 11-month stint in the Danbury Correctional Institute. Meanwhile, her husband Joe recently turned himself in for his 41-month sentence for mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud.

Teresa and her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga joined “Extra's” AJ Calloway at our H&M studios in Times Square. Teresa opened up about how she and her daughters are doing while Joe is away, and revealed how they keep their marriage going.

Teresa said Gia, Milania, Audriana, and Gabriella are doing well without their father around, saying, “They're doing good, thank God.” As for how she is doing, she said, “I'm Teresa Giuidice, and look, I'm still here, I'm still standing.” Melissa added, “She's strong, she's like a warrior.” Teresa said, “I have four daughters. I can't break.”

AJ asked how Teresa and Joe are keeping their marriage spicy while Joe is serving his time. Teresa revealed, “Through our emails, when we see each other.” When AJ asked how she does that through emails, Melissa explained, “Haven't you ever [written] love notes?”

Teresa added, “Email, texting, we talk every day, sometimes twice a day, and I see him every week, and I have to say where he is we're allowed to touch each other… if I want to rest my head on his chest… [At Danbury,] they were a little stricter.”

The couple is not allowed conjugal visits. Teresa admitted, “I don't know if I could do that; maybe after a while.”

Giudice adding, “I just can't wait for him to come home… Things that you have to go through in life, tough times, bad times, it's just going to spice our marriage up even more. He's getting really skinny, looking really good. He's jump-roping, boxing… He's looking really good.” Smiling, she confessed, “Every week I go, I touch his stomach — I want the abs.”

Teresa and Melissa also talked about Season 8 of “RHONJ.” It turns out Joe is actually in the entire new season of their hit Bravo series. "At the end, you'll see us driving away, like he's leaving… We said our good-byes privately.”

Giudice continued, “I was excited to film this season — I love the new girls.” Melissa agreed, “They're awesome.”

The new women are Dolores Catania and Siggy Flicker. Teresa and Dolores go way back. Melissa also gave some background on Flicker, explaining, “Siggy was Jaclyn's friend and she's our first Jewish housewife on New Jersey housewives.”

Jaclyn Laurita is returning after a break from the show. Melissa revealed, “Teresa goes up and down a little bit with Jaclyn.” Teresa insisted, “She got down and dirty.” Melissa added, “The relationships really switch this season.” The duo promises drama, saying not everyone is friends now.
