Gwen Stefani Hospitalized
"The Voice" star Gwen Stefani was forced to pull out of a scheduled performance last night for the Keep Memory Alive 21st Annual Power of Love Gala in Las Vegas.
According to Las Vegas Review Journal, Stefani was taken to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles after she suffered a ruptured eardrum during a flight on Tuesday. As a result, her doctors requested that she not fly to Las Vegas.
Stefani filmed a short apology video for the gala, which raised money for the Keep Memory Alive charity to help find cures for memory and movement disorders. In the video, she shared, "I am so sorry that I cannot attend tonight, but I wanted to send a message of congratulations to Andre Agassi and my very dear friend Ronald Perelman.”
Jennifer Hudson was able to step in to perform. Host Robin Leach announced, "In her place, Gwen has sent us an Oscar and Grammy-winning superstar, who is a real Dreamgirl herself."
Gwen may have suffered the ear injury just after shooting Tuesday's episode of “The Voice.”
